How Serbia taxes crypto

Serbia taxes cryptocurrency gains under its capital gains tax regime at a flat rate of 15%. Crypto is treated as a digital asset, and any disposal (sale, trade, or exchange) is considered a taxable event. There is no distinction between short-term and long-term holding periods. Taxpayers are required to self-report gains and file within 30 days of the transaction. Serbia has been gradually developing its regulatory framework for digital assets, with increasing adoption in the region.
