How Spain taxes crypto
Spain taxes crypto gains at progressive rates: 19% on gains up to €6,000, 21% on €6,000-€50,000, 23% on €50,000-€200,000, 27% on €200,000-€300,000, and 28% above €300,000. All crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions are taxable events. Spanish tax residents must also declare overseas crypto holdings.
